Kartini Asari The 46th Lorne Conference on Protein Structure and Function 2021

Kartini Asari

Kartini is a cellular and molecular biologist by training, with research experiences at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School (Singapore General Hospital) and the South Australian Health & Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), where she modelled treatment-resistant paediatric acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and discovered an array of novel genetic alterations involved in drug-resistance. After her PhD, Kartini decided to embark on a journey with Bright Arena, a management consulting / research commercialisation startup in Melbourne where she performed competitive market analysis for clients and organised community forums for the wider academia-industry ecosystem. It was in this role where she realised her passion for bench-to-bedside laboratory research, and accompanied with her industry background, Kartini is passionately combining the best of both worlds, contributing her talent and helping create impact with like-minded, innovative and visionary folks at Exopharm Ltd. to engineer EVs for improvement of current and future therapy.
