Biswa Prasanna Mishra

Biswa is a structural biologist, currently in his final year of PhD at the Centre for Advanced Imaging, University of Queensland. His PhD work focuses on the structural aspects of thumb domains of Acid-sensing ion channels (ASICs) and their interactions with venom toxins to screen for, design and refine channel modulators as novel therapeutic leads. Biswa has completed an integrated dual degree Bachelors in Chemical Engineering and Masters in Biological Sciences from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, India. He loves mountaineering and photography. He sings, plays the drums and essentially loves everything musical. Biswa adores basketball and is an avid follower of the NBA.
