I am a final year PhD student, characterising lipid modulators of glycine receptors using two electrode voltage clamp electrophysiology. I am interested in allosteric modulators of membrane proteins, in-particular how lipophilic compounds can modulate protein function by altering membrane properties - or by intercalating between transmembrane domains.
