Ryan Cantwell Chater

I am a PhD student at The University of Sydney. My project involves characterising the how glycine transporter 2 inhibitors prevent the progression of the transport cycle. I use site directed mutagenesis and electrophysiology to understand where and how these inhibitors bind to the transporter. I am interested in understanding how transporters interact with lipids and small molecule inhibitors. I am also interested in protein purification and structure determination of membrane proteins.
